The sound of this drum really is incredible. The bass tone is powerful and punchy, with no need for extra kick ports to enhance the bass. It fills the room in a controlled and rounded way. You can achieve two main snare hits on the CaSela, one is full and has a great depth, the other gives you a nice pop on the high end. The playing surface is very high quality, sturdy, and allows you to achieve many other tones when using your foot to change the pitch. The materials used for the components are of very high quality. The side, top and bottom panles are made from high-grade birch and the rounded corners are made from, high-grade maple. The engineering that has gone into this product is second to none making it very easy for the user to put their cajon together in less than one hour.

The CaSela caught my eye a a month ago when I began the search for a new cajon. I wanted to step it up from my Meinl cajon which served me well but I wanted to go pro.
I saw that the CaSela's boasted to be a pro cajon at a lower price as you have to put it together your self. Kind of like Ikea i guess and with that can some times come a lesser quality.
There is nothing lesser quality about this cajon. It is made of high grade materiels and the engineering of the components makes it ver easy to put together. I think I did it in under an hour.
I am very happy with the sound. Big bass and lots of snare. Sounds like a professional drum.

I wanted a cajon to play in church. One that could deliver a powerful pro sound. My budget was not a lot but I could stretch to $300. After I received the cajon I was amazed at the sound for the price.
It sounds great in a small room and in a big hall with microphone.
I said that I was not too good with technical things so Paul Jennings said they could assemble the cajon for me. I decided to just have a go my self. I am glad I did because I really was not difficult and I did have fun.
Thanks Sela and Paul Jennings Music!
